FF Mark is one of the most iconic geometric sans serif typefaces of our time. Created by German type designers Hannes von Döhren, Christoph Koeberlin, and the FontFont Type Department in 2013, this versatile family draws on historical examples from German geometry in the 1920s. With additional creative input of Erik Spiekermann, they created a contemporary interpretation of classic German geometric sans: FF Mark is available with 61 styles and many weights ranging from Hairline to Book to Ultra.
Furnished with accented characters, ligatures and alternates, case-sensitive forms, fractions, super and subscript characters, complex metric data including extensive kerning, and several hundred weight-matched special characters such as arrows, bullets, various sets of numerals, the family is made suitable for all possible applications. The extreme weights are perfect for usage in posters, headlines, titles and logos. Also thanks to its large x-height, FF Mark is highly legible in small sizes, optimized for editorial design, infographics, corporate typography, packaging design, as well as web and screen design. The clean structure of all and unusual detailing in K, R and Q give the family a distinctive personality.
In 2015, FF Mark Condensed was introduced, and a new version between Condensed and Regular, FF Mark Narrow, is released in autumn 2016.
